Why licensing matters
In Queensland, electrical work on coffee equipment must be carried out by a qualified, appropriately licensed electrical worker.
A business charging to perform electrical work must hold an electrical contractor licence, and the person carrying out the work must hold the appropriate electrical work licence. Licensed contractors must also meet Queensland’s public liability and consumer-protection insurance requirements. Unlicensed electrical work does not provide customers with those same safeguards.
